Glen Hansard

Last year I discovered Glen Hansard, an Irish singer born in Dublin.
In the 80s, he was a member of the band The Frames, but three years ago he decided to release his own album and start his own project.

In this album, which is the first one of him, and called "Rhythm and Repose", we can find great songs as the one below: "High Hope".

Today's artist is Gregory Alan Isakov.
He is a singer born in South Africa but living in United States. He has been influenced by huge artists like Leonard Cohen or Bruce Springsteen.

The song you can find below is "Big Black Car", his most famous song, and it is included in his third album "This Empty Northern Hemisphere".

Mumford & Sons

I think Mumford & Sons deserves to be in the first blog post. I am sure that most of you already know the band, but even if you are one of those, it is always a pleasure in our ears.

A new beginning

The time has come, and somewhat told me that it is necessary to open a blog.

My name is Guillem Castanyer, I am from Barcelona and I decided to create a blog, in which I can show people my pure obsession for music. 

Someone might wonder the reason of this name: "chestnutting". This name is related to my surname and my dad, as it is true that I came into the world of music because of him. So, I thought that he deserves to be part of it.

As I said, this blog will be focused on music that I discover in my daily life, that some of you may know, but music is life. So, I will try to post new groups and new songs that may appear in my life, and I will be proud to let you discover them.
